Diary of an Edinburgher

New fridge/freezer

Jings, last night I had an attack of the shivers. I just could not get warm. I had two dressing gowns, a hot water bottle and a woolly hat on. And Archie's hot little body stretched out beside me. Weird, because I never need a hot water bottle, even in winter. I couldn’t sleep, so I went through all the glaring holes in the plot of Line of Duty. I don’t think this series is as good as the others.

Please don’t bother reading them if you don’t watch LoD. In fact, even if you watch it... In no particular order:

The tourniquet was below the leg wound - blood was pouring out. Yes, he died.

The cop who faked his crash - what did he do with the oil can after he'd splashed oil on the road? Pop it in his boot? Or throw it a few yards into the undergrowth?

The two security guards who welcomed in the machine gun toting balaclava-ed baddies in full view of the security cameras. How did they hope to get away with it?

H cannot be Hastings - why would the Corrupt Big Boss use the first letter of his OWN name as the code word? Unless it's just so obvious nobody would believe it.

Why would the Big Bad Boss attend the raid just because one of the crims insisted? He'd keep well away from the action.

Why do Arnott and the UCO have top secret meetings in public car parks, shouting at each other? Anybody could be listening.

Too many acronyms. I was trying to spot the longest sentence with least proper words.

During an action scene, and for a good minute or so, the only dialogue was 'Sh*t!'

We popped in to see George and Lola, dropped off curtains at the dry cleaner, and arrived back just in time to welcome the delivery of the new fridge/freezer. Why hadn’t they given us a time slot? Anyway, the new fridge is gorgeous, and pretty big. Plenty of room for ice cubes and Magnums now! And the nice chaps took away all the packaging.

JR took Archie out for a big walk while the fridge had to sit for three hours, not plugged in, as per instructions.
