Able Mabel

Anne invited me along for a walk with Kathleen today. I asked where was she thinking, she suggested Carlisle to Port Carlisle that's about 10 miles! Fortunately she decided to go along with my suggestion of a Ridge walk, especially since she'd never been there before. It was windy but dry and before we knew where we were at Lanercost tea room. They have an area of their cafe that allows dogs, free treats and water are provided. They had 3 floor to ceiling photos of doggie guests, Anne spotted a couple of dogs she knew! All in all we walked more than 5 and a half miles. Mabel, Annes dog seems to have endless energy and she is very strong, she loved been in the water at Quarry beck.

This afternoon I returned a parcel to the Post Office and popped into a local window shop to ask them for a quote for bi-folding doors and a replacement double glazed unit for our bedroom. My phased return starts tomorrow with a half shift of training. All in all it's been a good day.
