Child and Man
The bronze sculpture of a boy astride his rocking horse entitled 'Powerless Structures Fig. 101' was created by Scandinavian artists, Elmgreen & Dragset. Talking about their work they commented, "We wanted to create a public structure which, rather than dealing with topics of victory and defeat, honours the everyday battles of growing up."
Although taken from behind, I liked the juxtaposition between the child (whose history is to come) and the man (whose history has already been told).
