Mixed blessing

This cherry tree stands at the end of our garden path on the grass verge of the roadside.  In Spring it is beautiful to view but its petals find their way into our house and car and leave stains.  In the Autumn it produces loads of cherries that are inedible to us and create a slippery stony mush on the ground as the birds can't keep up with the harvest.   Those that can sit on our TV aeriel and deposit their aftermath on the heads of visitors to the front door!  Love it or hate it, it is still there!
