Neighbours

When I went to the village shop I passed the castle moat and noticed that a coot has built a nest next door to the swan's nest. As swans can be aggressive and coots attack the other water birds I hope that they will be peaceable neighbours!  

Mr. Swan paddled past and Mrs. Coot looked wary of him. Fortunately all was well - this time!

I did a bit of light gardening this afternoon, it's amazing how everything including the weeds have grown.
