Ribbons and braids

Where does it all come from? After a lifetime of sewing, one accumulates 'stuff' and years later one has no idea where or when such 'stuff' was acquired/used in the first place. It's always amazing though that when, as this afternoon, I need a piece of ribbon in a certain colour . . . it's there. Magic! As the grandchildren say when I produce something they don't think anyone can possibly have. There are some advantages to hoarding.
