It's Cherry Blossom Time!

Don't quite understand why the Japanese go loopy for cherry blossom but it is so lovely and lasts no time at all.
We planted this little tree some thirty years ago shortly after we arrived here. She has in the last couple of years started to go backwards a bit and I have had to prune back a few dead section. I hope we can keep it going because we also use it as a Christmas tree decorated with lights each December. Even if we replace it, we would need to wait a few years until the new tree had grown big enough. Bit of a quandary.
