Flower arranging revealed

Here you see an arrangement that the judges picked out, though they did comment that the candle was too big and drew the eye away from the rest of the composition. Frankly, I was amazed that flower arranging was so elaborate. In my naiveté, I thought it was about putting flowers in vases!

I was taking a sneak peek at the judges' choices after the guests had departed the flower arrangers' event at Westonbirt school, near Tetbury. I had a card stall there, and boy, was I busy! Three coach loads of women attended. Some were from South Wales. All were very good customers. Apart from the minor hiccups of being asked if I had the green tractor card in a red version, and running out of Easter cards, and sister cards, all went well. I hope there's a next time.

Afterwards we went to The Canteen in Nailsworth to celebrate with a coffee and cake, then I walked up the hill to Rockness where I'm house sitting and cooking for a housebound person. I am still getting used to cooking on a range. Tomorrow I will be home, home on the range.
