Toy town train

Today I took the DLR from Lewisham to Stratford. I always think of it as the toy town train because it’s so small amongst all the buildings in Canary Wharf.
What I notice most about this area apart from the constant construction sites is the lack of colour. If you stop and people watch, you mostly see men in grey or dark suits. It doesn’t look a very diverse workforce or environment to me.
The evening was spent with the Tuesday cheap pint crew, plus 4, and Sam we shared a banana birthday cake made for me by Sam, delicious. 8 of us played pool and Gloria and I came 3rd. It was a great, fun evening with a diverse mix of interesting friends.
Sam & Sarah being on Easter hols is a bad influence though as they were in party mood. We’re usually home by 8pm on Tuesdays and not tipsy. I loved it.
