Rusty Gate Latch

I love the rusty patina on this gate latch which looks like it's a replacement for the broken one underneath it.  Although the paint is still clinging onto the old latch it's peeling off in other places.  The loop, which a padlock would usually go through, is broken whereas the block of wood that it sits on has what seems like an excessive number of nails in it to keep it in place.
