Here at last.

There are lots of good things about living round Morecambe Bay. Easy access to the hills and less frantic road conditions to name but two.

But in the last couple of weeks blippers in the south have been posting butterflies. Even those in Yorkshire have been seeing them.

Here we have to be patient. It was not until yesterday that we saw our first two - a small tortoiseshell and a green veined white.
But today the orange tips were out in force.

And of course later we will have High Brown Frits, Duke of Burgundy, Brown Hairstreak and Scotch Argus.
So I am not complaining.
