More colour
This time of year I realise the colour "green" has many faces. The trees are beginning to develop their leaves, starting with willow, hazel, birch and so on, each using its own shade of green making the world into a completely different visual place. We've gone through a long period with mostly variations of black and white, brown and grey. When our thin layer of snow melted, last years grass came out with its tones of brown, grey and yellow, bringing memories of last years meadows and new hope.
This willow flower cried out to be photographed, no leaves yet but beautiful variants of green and yellow on a grey brown twig promising new tides. Tomorrow morning I will drive 300 km to the very south of Sweden to visit friends and on Good Friday cross the sound between Denmark and Sweden, Öresund to see a few of my cousins. I'm expecting a fabulous drive through an exploding spring scenery.
