Cairo Goalposts

On my way to Maadi to meet a new business contact, wondering who moved these goalposts. Passed quite a few herds of sheep and goats en route. This is the old road out of Cairo to Upper Egypt, and I suppose these beasts are following an old traditional droving path or maybe have 'arrived' and are awaiting purchase or slaughter.

I nearly asked Ayman, my driver, to keep going to Aswan. He said it would take about 16 hours. I asked if he had enough petrol. He said, no, but he that he did have his wallet. We even worked out we could pay an air fare for Dd and she could be there to welcome us tomorrow evening! Back home now, for the avoidance of doubt!
