Bus Challenge No 166!
World Heritage Day, Green Park Station, Bath
“Bath celebrates World Heritage Day 2019 this April at Green Park Station. Loads of free activities suitable for all ages which will explore the city’s architectural achievements and engineering landmarks from the past, present and future. There will be themed talks, guided walks, hands-on activities, displays and a chance to meet some characters from Bath's past.”
Into Bath this morning with my BC friend to learn a bit more about Bath’s rich history. A short guided walk introduced us to the less salubrious side of Bath, with a look into the city’s former slums and red light district, and then a surprisingly interesting talk looked at the bridges that span the river Avon in Bath, 28 of which are listed structures. Unlike the Mayor’s wife, I didn’t have a go at stone carving!
Total bus journey time = 40 mins
