Spring in a bottle

Laurie "forces" bulbs every winter to plant out in the spring. Often she gives them to our guests as Hanukkah gifts, as she did this year. This is a hyacinth bulb.

I've been feeling blah the last couple of days, exhaustion has set in and I'm trying my best to avoid catching the lurgy that Laurie has and that some of the babies had last week. If I can hang on through the concerts, I can get sick on Sunday night! I have a theory that all the singing has kept away the germs.
