Grave thoughts

Last day in Myanmar today visiting many different Buddhas and the sights of Bago. On the way back we stopped for a few minutes at the Commonwealth Remembrance Cemetery. This is where all the soldiers (known and unknown) lie from the Burmese wars. In the UK we know them because of movies like Bridge Over the River Kwai or because we know relatives who served there.
It was humbling to see all the young men that died in the jungles here. This grave A. Williams reminded me that it could have been a relative. Quite old compared to others at 25. I first came to asia at 25 and it blew me away. I can only imagine how they felt.
