Chicks in a phone box

I do love country life. Popped to check progress on my friend’s house build then wandered over for a coffee at the local tea rooms ‘More Tea Vicar’ in Challock. We found the owner scooping out hen chicks from their nest in an old phone box.

Mummy Hen escaped and spent the next hour chirping and running around in circles. Hopefully she eventually found her way to the chicken coop and her babies.

Suki the big black fluffy cat sat on my lap as I sat down in the sunshine. It really is a lovely quirky place!
