Stand ins!

We had a delightful afternoon with three very close friends today. Daune and James took the courageous step of braving the Good Friday traffic and travelled up from Sydney. It turned into a 3 and a half hour trip and at times they were at a standstill. They came laden with yummy things to eat and a wonderful bottle of French champagne. They also very kindly collected our friend Irene as they swung through Blackheath.

I had everyone move outside at the bird bowl “Happy Hour” and almost guaranteed them that the Gang Gangs would appear sometime between 5.14 and 5.25pm!! Well apart from a couple who did a flyby our Gang Gang family were missing in action this afternoon. The only course open to me was to take James taking a photo of the two beautiful ornamental Gang Gangs that he and Daune gave us when we were married last year. It was a fantastic afternoon and a very happy one all round.
