Dusty Miller
The common name for this little auricula.
Named because of the whitish farina which covers the pale green leaves.
Very popular in Victorian times when people displayed them in “ Auricula Theatres”.
There is one at RHS ,Harlow Carr, in Harrogate
This plant was bought a couple of years ago on one of our walks.
A farmhouse had a little stall outside the gate, and I bought one.
This year it has flowered at last. I had nearly given up on it.
Many thanks to Anni for hosting Flower Friday again.
Another glorious day. 22C!
After shopping this morning have spent the afternoon painting the garden furniture.
Hope to be able to sit on it tomorrow, and relax outside. Maybe our first BBQ.
Extra is a shot of the little blue butterfly which eventually decided to stop fluttering and landed so I could take a quick photo.
A Holly Blue I think.
Hope you all have a fabulous Easter Weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather.
