Spring or Autumn?

A beautiful sunny day in the garden today and lunch was eaten outdoors for the first time this year.  This lovely acer is just developing its new leaves and with the beech hedge behind, it looked more like autumn than spring:-)

The joiner came this morning to fit some new baskets to one of my kitchen cupboards and what a difference they make to being able to find things!  So easy to pull them out and see what's in there.  

The news from the hospital is not good and many of the family spent last night sitting with my MiL who was not expected to see the dawn.  However, true to form, she is still with us and sleeping peacefully last time we heard.  We are all realistic about what the next 24 hours may hold and it is a difficult time for the whole family.
