Promise of Apples

Apples featured strongly on this lovely Friday, as the newly recovered Janet urged me to polish the pedals and get the pushbikes out. 

Frankly, it was a reminder of encroaching decrepitude as first she then I abandoned all attempts at finding a useable gear out of the twenty zillion options we were gifted with, and got off to walk up the hill to North Nibley. 

But at the top, oh joy, the pub had really quite decent still cider, and soon had a little less of it. That led to a generally fun homeward free-wheel and a looooong snooze in the back garden.

So, an environmentally friendly bike ride for a change, in honour of the really decent job the BBC made of the climate change programme last night. Little prevarication, actual finger pointing and a 'need to watch'.

Tomorrow will of course be fossil fuelled, as we nip up to Newent for a brewery tour. Oh, springtime, how summery you feel...
