Woo Hoo!
Bags is the "track Master" ............ so she says.
I am sure she must practice and build them when the kids are in bed because the Cygnet is never patient enough when I try building one.
Camera club was a social evening ...........BYOB and snacks and was a really good evening.
I took along a couple of my portfolios which have both successes and failures - mainly in relation to choice of papers and it was really good having so many asking about techiques, surface choices and such. There was a real feeling that the members wanted to get the best out of their prints and that being able to handle and look at real prints was what they wanted to do.
This seems to be in complete contrast with the 'old' club.
Apparently, they got in touch with the secretary at the weekend and wanted to change the rules for our Inter-club competition (which is in the first week in January) so that there were NO prints and only projected images.
It is a sorry state of afairs when a camera club does not want to see a real print. After all, it is only when a picture is printed that you really see the quality and what the author wants to get across regarding colour, brightness etc (I have never yet seen any conistancy between computer screens and projectors)
