What's in a name

A rose by any other name still smells the same....I know that this is not a rose and it doesn't have a perfume but for me it also doesn't have a name.

I like the delicate pink petals against the aged jarrah planks.

(after several hours researching I have found the name of this shrub: Abutilon × hybridum...wondering now if it has a common name).

Christmas is fast approaching and I am still to decide what to make for lunch :-( I have a habit of creative avoidance of things I don't want to do...hence out taking photos when I should have been pouring over cook books and making a shopping list. There is always tomorrow.
