Team Rob Rises in Festive Fashion

Team Rob Rises were in fine form tonight as we swooped to victory in the Christmas edition of the Monday Night Quiz at the Highlands Inn, Uckfield.

I still cannot quite believe how prolific & Christmas knowledgeable we actually turned out to be! We won the first round, Music Intro's, by gaining a top score of 15/15 & answering a further two bonus questions for good measure. We then came oh so close in the following two rounds with scores of 14/15 in both, but with a score of 15/15 in the final round, although not quite enough to give us another round victory, it was enough to secure our overall victory of the Quiz with a Wonderful Christmas whopping 48/ 50, a feat we have never achieved before.

I'm so thrilled with the team's efforts, as we so often come close but don't quite manage it, but tonight was our night & it was wicked fun! We hadn't really done anything different this week in preparation, other than love Christmas songs & films like no other like normal. I must admit, being a repeat attendee of the Christmas quiz, & of course the normal weekly quiz, I knew songs & their release dates would be hot topics, so on our way from the flat, Jen & I did scan some important Christmas number one highlights over the years. There are some real corkers!

As always, it was a pleasure to catch up with the chaps & have a few bevies. Jenny didn't miss a beat & cracked on with some knitting as well. A great laugh, a resounding success & a perfect time to 'rejoice in the good that we see'.
