Long way to the beach

Had some appropriate hot cross buns for breakfast then said goodbye to the little family and K before setting off on the long drive home. There was quite a lot of traffic so it was a slow journey, but a packed lunch from K and Michelle Obama's 'Becoming' on audio helped me on my way.
Ended up taking about 7 hours, and arrived with 10 mins to spare before I had to meet V in the city cafe for the traditional fish and chip supper before the theatre. Trip to see Local Hero was my Christmas present from V and it was very good - we really enjoyed the whole thing.
Home and bed....long day but a good end
