Beech and bluebells...

...a classic combination - the bluebells not quite yet at their best here in Lincolnshire.Pete and I spent most of Good Friday walking round Callan's Lane Wood, near Kirkby Underwood in summery temperatures of 22 degrees, very different from last weekend! I was hunting for plants that hadn't been recorded since before 2000, which necessitated much searching in hidden corners and some quite tricky walking away from the paths. But we were rewarded with some interesting finds, including a thriving colony of Early Purple Orchids (see extra).
