All about Lallybroch

Londonderry

Last day in Ireland.

Started the day by Ethan taking part in the junior 2k parkrun on the beach. They were short of volunteers, so I stepped up and did timekeeping for them.

We’d originally planned to drive the coastal road back to Belfast, stopping off at Carrick-a-Rede bridge on the way. However just before we set off, we discovered the bridge was closed due to high winds. So, we went the complete opposite direction instead to Londonderry. We arrived at noon, not realising that literally nothing opens there till 1pm! So a bracing walk around the city walls it was!

After buying some sandwiches for lunch, we started the drive to Belfast. We still had a few r tea hours to kill before our flight, so went for a wander round the fairy trail at Galgorm Castle. I think I enjoyed it more than hubbie and Ethan!

Flight arrived back in Edinburgh around 9pm. We drove straight to Bathgate to drop Ethan off at the Foreveryoungs. He’s having a sleepover there tonight and they’re taking him to Beith tomorrow.

Back to work tomorrow for hubbie and I.
