Highest Airport in N America

Trip to Denver was primarily for some quality time with J and C who recently got engaged. However the ferry pilot who helped me bring my plane back when I bought it as a student pilot had promised to take me mountain flying. He has 40 years of experience and is a member of the team who do search and rescue for the many aircraft accidents in the mountains. We flew our little Piper up to 12,500 feet and landed at the highest airport in N America Lake County, Leadville at almost 10,000 ft. Quite a challenge getting back off the ground with the air so thin but an incredible experience with a certificate to prove it and some beautiful scenery. See extras
