Citadel

We’re about 40 minutes away from San Gimignano by car, but we see the town well before, with it’s cluster of towers looking from a distance part medieval, part sci-fi. As usual, our arrival is preceded by research online to figure out parking. Anything to limit the amount of driving in Italian towns.

We amble, have a good lunch in a piazza café, and climb to the top of the walls for the view.
