Blue

This last week is kicking me down! It happens when I get too tired, and everything gets so complicated I'd laugh if I was able to get some distance. I went to a departmental meeting where I learned that what had seemed almost a done deal when I was hired isn't so easy anymore. The context at the college means that there is a very distinct possibility I won't have a contract for the winter semester. On the scale of depressing, that's pretty high... The thing is that, when they spoke with me, they compared with when they were hired, 6 or 7 years ago, but things have changed a lot. So, back to uncertainty and precarity. Grrr!
