I can see the pub from here!

Quite literally, it is the white building on the edge of the village, The Waterside Inn, on the River Soar. In the distance is Barrow upon Soar.

I decided to walk the indirect route round the village to get the paper and a few bits from the shop this morning. I walked up to where the castle used to be and where the war memorial now is to take in the view. 

In the extra are some flowers left on the memorial but why is it that people leave them in the plastic? They wont last any longer.
