True Christmas

Although I was Christened I don't go to Church and I'm not sure if I'm a believer, but I do recognise that followers must get so frustrated by the commercialisation of Christmas. I have admired this church (Morningside Parish) and its decorations for the last couple of weeks so on the way to work this morning I stopped off. 6am, wind, rain, balancing my camera on top of a wheelie bin with the rain making my mascara run - pretty standard for a blipper!

I took a cheeky half day today to start my Christmas holidays so I could go shopping and absorb the atmosphere. At the weather was so bad I decided to go to Livingston which is all under cover, and I didn't have much to buy so I just wandered and spent a bit too much in Waterstones as usual. Well, a girl's got to have lots of reading material while Andy watches too much TV over the holidays.
