Abernethy Circular Walk
The hottest day of the year so far, so we fools decide to go for a well known local walk during the hottest part of the day!! It starts off OK, then climbs higher and higher up a hill until, on a less hazy day, you would get spectacular views over the Tay.
Fortunately for me, some very kind persons had placed a couple of benches at strategic intervals to allow me to get my breath back. Unfortunately for me, there were also dozens of wooden steps going down and then up and then down again, by which time my hips were screaming "enough".
However, I made it down to level ground with the help of my handy Sherpa (who could have done the walk in half the time without me!) It may be some time before I attempt it again:-)
Still no news from the hospital, other than MiL is sleeping peacefully. No food or liquid for at least four days, as she is unconscious and totally unresponsive. Amazing what the human body can withstand, but so hard for the family who are in constant attendance.
An Easter to forget for us, but hope yours is a happier one.
