Simply Stunning

A rucksack left in the pub meant a return trip to Langdale. I'd realised as soon as I'd gotten home, but couldn't face the chaos of driving back. Fortunately the staff had it and were happy to hang on to it.

But it has been so glorious, could we beat the crowds and enjoy the jewel in Lakeland's Crown?

Up and out early there were only a handful of cars as we arrived, we set off along the valley listening to the birdsong. Up to Blea Tarn and only another couple on the opposite shore, bliss.
Most folk will be familiar with the Loch Ness monster, in extras I present the Blea Tarn Missy Monster. Whilst Pushka liked to paddle she'd get very perturbed if the water reached up to her tummy- not Missy, she took to swimming straight away - and then dived under the water. Not something I've seen a dog do before!
The other extra was too good not to include, magical reflections. But taking it as a panorama has bleached the sky oddly.

We spent a goodly while, Mrs IttH has a commission to paint this view, so I helped out taking a lot of detail shots. Then a lovely amble down to a busy valley, we took a path less trod and only saw a dozen or so folk. A quick brunch in the sun and then the joy of driving out of the valley against the flow of traffic.

Then more time in the garden, the last couple of years structural landscaping paying off as large areas now need little maintenance. Which is good as other large areas still need lots!
