Precision engineering

In hot cross bun making. See extra for results. I had made hot cross buns several times in the past, with disappointing results. I then went on a Easter Baking course at http://www.bakertom.co.uk/ and made the best hot cross buns ever. I’ve been making them every year since, even when in Switzerland where fresh yeast was easy to procure, but dried fruit more of a challenge. I had to use dried yeast this year, but happy to say they are still pretty good, and have the vote of approval from M.

I’m also trying a Nigel Slater chicken recipe for our main meal, where you stuff the inside with mini potatoes... it looks good so far.

A long day in the kitchen!
