Weekend Recap

So I neglected to photograph the weekend, these things happen. A quick recap mainly for myself:

Friday: Went to dinner with Miller, Risa, & Krissy at the blossoming lotus. Tasty vegan food and really awesome bathrooms. Came back to campus to discover that there was nothing I really wanted to do, so I ended up watching Donnie Darko. I feel like that movie had all the trappings of a great (like really really great) film, but for some reason just couldn't quite cut it, therefore it was relegated to cult status. Overall a very positive night.

Saturday: Spent most of the day time doing very little, almost too little. But that evening I went to Reed for my best friend Chandler's birthday party. I forgot how much fun it is to drunkenly dance with really really cute girls. I will have to do this more often.

Sunday: There is something therapeutic about riding a bus on a Sunday morning, listening to some M83 and just watching the scenery fly by. You can just let your worries fade to the back of your mind, because for the moment all you can do is sit and watch the world as it passes.

Today: I think its great how we have such advanced technology devoted to weather prediction (super computers, doppler 9000 radars, etc) and yet we still really really suck at it. It was supposed to rain today, and it most certainly did rain today. But this picture is anything but rainy.

The weather is transient, the world is transient, I need to work on just being hyped in the moment, on whatever is in front of me, because it won't be here forever.
