Good Golly! (Treasure Trove #11)

I do remember innocently playing with this Dancing Doll toy in my 1950's childhood, although presumably not that often, judging by its still pristine condition. It turned up at the parental home when the Spotlight Kid and I were sorting through things. We were brought up on the unrevised Enid Blyton books and used to save the Robertson's marmalade golliwog labels to exchange for metal brooches. I seem to have written "Our freind" in the bottom margin.

I like to think that we are more enlightened now - and that my spelling is better.
