Balloon pollution of our seas must stop!

On one of my regular wildlife surveys for MARINElife across the Irish Sea, I am seeing more and more balloon pollution, where spent balloons from idiotic balloon releases float around, usually with long plastic tapes attached.

These are DEADLY to marine wildlife - turtles and other marine animals ingest old balloons thinking these are foot items, while birds can easily get tangled in tapes.  Most wild-life lives on a knife-edge,  so anything that interferes with their natural functioning will kill them.

Balloon releases should be made illegal!
