I intended to photograph bluebells in White Moss Wood but a car trying to reverse out of the road I was waiting to turn into led me to carry on so as not to anger the queue of drivers behind me.

Elsewhere at Grasmere I came upon a faint grassy path which led to these steps with an arch at the top. I climbed up and found a locked gate. I liked the colours of the leaves on the branches hanging above the steps.
