Twycross Zoo

After a little bit of anxiety of whether going to the zoo on Bank Holiday Monday was a good idea, we were up, dressed and out of the house by 7:30, arriving at the zoo by just after 8:30am. The traffic gods smiled upon us.

The zoo was good, at the start it wasn't too busy so we saw lots. It slowly got busier and busier, but the children loved it.
Highlights:
rhinos, penguins and penguin parade, the baby orangutan and the splash pad.

Both loved this a great deal, but both were very cold when they came out of it - luckily, sunshine and dry clothes soon sorted them out.

Another dream drive home, only queue was when we were about 10 minutes from home.

Two tired and happy children went to bed with a new rhino each,a snake, a Lorikeet and a hedgehog!
