Today we visited Buscot Park. 
My purpose was specifically to see this. 
Naturally enough, interior photography is forbidden, thus providing good cover for my lack of skill. 
Instead I have snapped the magnificent garden gnomes (above).

But in the glorious Burne-Jones room I took a particular liking to this;
"The threat of war, the hope of peace,
The Kingdoms peril and increase
Sleep on, and bide the latter day
When Fate shall take her chain away."

Wouldn't it be such a wonderful thing if a simple prick could allow us to sleep through the next hundred years of stupidity?
