Balgone Barn windmill

Standing amid a sea of yellow is this late 17th century windmill which by 1799 had become a dovecot.

I pass this most weekends on my way to my mother’s. Called in this morning. Driving down the temperate before10am was 20oC. Although closer to the coast it was nearer 15.

Back by lunchtime to plant out dahlias and sweet pea then welcome friends round.

Fired up the BBQ again and enjoyed it and some Jersey Royals. A good end to the holiday break.
