Other people's houses

... maybe the start of an occasional series! And I doubt whether I will visit anyone else who has a harp in their front room - and a very elegant and new one at that.

The printmakers all were invited for lunch to our former tutors house. L had run Hangingwater Studio for a goodly number of years up until two and a half years ago when she decided to take an MA course in Art Therapy. It was so good to see her again and have time to chat and catch-up. Lunch was excellent too.

It's rained and rained here today with low cloud over my higher level route home so I opted for the lower and slightly longer way home tonight. The journey took ages and that was without the trip I was going to make to the supermarket to pick up one or two things that we've missed - I'd decided that it was just too horrible to contemplate a journey into the centre of Sheffield.

Now something is falling down the chimney in the (new) other room - we've had several sounds of rattling and scraping and I guess something has become dislodged and has fallen onto the metal plate that secures the stove flue - further investigation saved for tomorrow when hopefully the rain will have stopped!
