More music ... the Gabby Pahinui Festival and more

A day of music! Laurie came over for our Learning Tree experience and we managed to put together a reasonable rendition of Wayfaring Stranger. We have a lot of fun together, and Laurie and I benefit immensely from our Maestro's knowledge, talent and experience.

In the afternoon we wandered over to the Waimanalo Gabby Pahinui music festival. Quite a treat! Lots of people hanging out in the park listening to band after band. Most were playing Hawaiian music, but thankfully not only. The real treat was Melveen Leed, apparently a legend in Hawaiian music, who sang Amazing Grace so beautifully that we had tears in our eyes.

A quiet evening as I wasn't feeling very well.
