St George’s day marathon
What better way to celebrate St George’s day than by running a marathon?
I won the fancy dress competition even though my dragon and my sword were a little small, then after a quick rendition of Jerusalem we set off running up and down the seafront in Deal.
I abandoned the costume after 5 miles, turns out fake chainmail isn’t that great for running in!
Had a short stop on lap 4 to watch the ball drop on the timeball tower and finished around 4:43. My first sub 5 for a while and a new PB for my friend I was running with - a lovely day out
