Abandoned launch

Saffron was put down the slip this morning after a hull polish to await the incoming tide.
By the time this was taken the wind speed had increased to 25 knots and a miserable chop had developed.
The wind was right on the beam which meant as soon as we tried to reverse out of the trailer we would be swept sideways into the pontoon and steps.
So reluctantly we decided to abandon and were hauled back up the slip.
Just as well because half an hour later the wind speed was gusting 30 knots.
We are now planning to go in on 5th May.
