In the pink
It was time for a haircut and general sort out so I went across the mountain to Schull. I went via Ballydehob for I had heard that Levis' had gone pink and the jury was out about the colour. It's pink alright but I thought it could be even wilder considering we're in Ballydehob - a touch of green, or purple or even orange. It's a very funky venue too - a traditional pub once owned by two sisters who both lived to be 100 or almost a 100. They had a restaurant over the road and the tradition was to have a glass or two in their pub and then nip over the road for your supper. Since their passing, their nephew has taken on the pub and turned it into a thriving music venue. The only trouble is, it's very popular and it's tiny inside so can get incredibly loud and sweaty. If you look closely enough you can see they also have a mini produce market every Wednesday where local organic veg, jams etc are sold. Have a look at their website
This is what it looked like before.
