Black-tailed Godwit

Spring sees a pretty decent passage of these birds on their way to breed  in Iceland. not the greatest of shots but look at the legs of one of the birds and you will see colour rings.
Still awaiting a full response but it was ringed in Scotland. Two other birds in the flock also had colour rings on. One was ringed on the Humber last December and I wait to hear about the other one.
Migration in action - and they are quite pretty birds in breeding plumage.
