Rain
There’s now water in my new water butt, which we plumbed in a few weeks ago at the start of the dry weather.
That broke with torrential rain, thunder and lightening as I drove home. It also gives me the opportunity to use the word petrichor which, according to a newspaper article I read at the weekend, is the distinctive smell accompanying the first rain after a spell of warm dry weather
