A Brave Face

Following a busy day, I headed out with R to see a production at the Drill Hall in Lincoln.

The Vamos theatre perform in full fixed masks, without dialogue - all the story telling is visual!!!
This might sound strange but it is so powerful and clear. A masterpiece in non verbal communication!!

The story is that of a soldier’s experience of post traumatic stress and the shared effect on his family. Thought provoking!!

I was impressed with the way in which the needs of the audience were addressed. The actors were introduced to the audience before donning their masks and the background noises and lighting effects were demonstrated to minimise potential triggers for people living with post traumatic stress.

A very impressed audience!!!!
